*Protip: you can use your phone's dictation feature to speak your dream into the textbox!

Our service leverages several artificial intelligence technologies. These can be broken down into 2 types:

  1. Large Language Model (LLM)

We use an LLM to analyze your dream input and create meta data such as themes, locations, symbols, etc..

We then feed this meta data back into the LLM to produce an analysis that is based in the LLMs understanding of psychology and dream symbolism.

Then we repeat it but with an algorithm that's designed to give helpful feedback that can be applied to one's life which we refer to as Insights.

  1. Deep Learning Text To Image Model

We utilize the meta data we created using the LLM and we construct special prompts for the image generator to create a relavant image to depict your dream

This model has been trained and configured to most accurately produce dream-like images.

The dreamer description gives our image generator the ability to depict the actual dreamer. While this description may not yeild perfect results, it helps to provide a subject to the dream experience.

You can leave this box empty to focus more on the objects or environment of the dream.

Optionally, you could descibe a giant red monster and some images will likely be generated with a giant red monster!

Dreams are entered into our secure database and then enter our queue/waiting line for processing. Our servers securely send your information to various other servers that perform tasks, such as: determining the dream location, building a pyschological based analysis, and providing future insights.

The servers that create the images are the slowest because they are trying to consider all of the variables in the dream.

If more people are submitting dreams then the queues get longer and the time it takes for us to process your dream takes longer.

Also, your membership level determines your prioity status in the queue. Free users will have their dreams processed only after all paid user dreams are processed.

OpenDreams.ai is a web-app and doesn't need to be installed on your device. However, you can use your device's option: "Add to Homescreen" or "Install app" to upgrade the user experience.

If you're using Chrome on an Android device, you will see an option to Install App in our main menu.

Our site was recently launched and so we may experience unforseen issues. We will be fixing bugs as we add new features so stay tuned and thank-you for your understanding.

AI image generation can be quite random and doesn't always represent the text accurately. We provide 5 images per dream in hopes that you will like a few of them. Remember, beauty is in the eye of the beholder and the images are supposed to be surreal as they represent a dream-state.

If you are absolutely unhappy then you can use the button Remake Images within the settings tab of the dream in your profile.

If the dream is public then you cannot use the Remake Images button and instead you will need to use Add Dream and change the wording to try and help the image generator create something that appeals to you. If you're trying to get a specific image, keep the dream text under 400 characters (80 words) as this will prevent some of the lexical processing.

Many dreams in our system were written by AI Bots. These 'bot dreams' are indicated with the robot icon next to the username.
